During my trip to Berlin to meet with Francis Kéré, the brilliant architect for the Las Vegas Museum of Art, I had the opportunity to visit the Frans Hals exhibition again, this time at the Gemäldegalerie. During this visit, I had great interest in his extraordinary use of color, filled with vibrant and rich detail. Despite these works being over 400 years old, Hals’ paintings are spectacles that are just as lively now as then. Enjoy the details!

I am pleased to share the imminent launch of The Las Vegas Book, a work of art directed and written by my dear friend and historian Joris Dekkers. This limited first edition coffee table book takes you from the origins of the Las Vegas Strip all the way to the creation of Vegas' most celebrated resorts such as The Mirage, The Bellagio and The Wynn and Encore Las Vegas: places that are very near and dear to me, and that shaped my 40-year career with Steve and Elaine Wynn. For the past 2 years, I have consulted on behalf of this extraordinary project which also portrays my father Parry Thomas and iconic figures behind the success of Las Vegas, such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Siegfried and Roy. Rare photos of vintage resorts such as The Flamingo, The Desert Inn, The International, and so much more are displayed in this love letter to Las Vegas' history.
