BRAFA, Brussels Antiques and Fine Art Fair is always a treat.
Many of the galleries are unique to this show, many are known stars that I see at TEFAF Maastricht, Salon New York and the Biennale de Paris.
I simply have to leave many treasures behind but always leave greatly enriched by the experience of finding them, looking at them and learning from them. Nothing can replace encounter as experience.
A Giacometti mirror, Henri Lauren’s sculpture, an Egyptian vase, a small but perfect Carlo Scarpa bowl by Venini and an extraordinary Baroque Mirror are objects that may be gone but never forgotten.
