Featuring a variety of designs, this capriccio was inspired by a visit I to the @rubelli_group archives. These designs are, of course, not ones that you will find in the archives, but rather a series of ideas catalyzed by them.

The rightmost design is a reaction I had to a ‘bizarre’ design, a 17th century style characterized by sinuous lines, strong diagonal movement, and motifs in strangely juxtaposed scales.

Continuing through the Mezzanine Lounge of the @smithcenterlv, we now move to our first piece by contemporary Singaporean artist Yek.

This work, entitled “Hoax (Three Times Lucky)”, is an abstract painting that blends warm orange, yellow, and blue colors on with a scalloped, variegated line in blue, pink and purple - all on a concave square surface to create a unique illusionary effect.

Duomo di Modena is one of the most intricate and beautiful cathedrals in northern Italy and venerates Saint Germinianus, patron saint of Modena. This exceptional feat of architecture was designed by a 10th century architect called Lanfranco (this being his only known work).

Upon entering, the immediate presence of Father Time passing through is felt with exposed skeletons, flickering candles and an intarsia hourglass perfectly positioned to contemplate one’s fate.
